THIS SITE IS UNDER DEVELOPMENT. Energy eficiency is a commitment worth making, especially with today's economic climate. Reducing energy cost today is a primary concern for all . Electrical energy cost has become a major concern for both electrical consumers and producers. Now a new area of expertise is developing in the electrical energy concervation industry. POWER QUALITY MANAGMENT . Underlying problems with facility electrical systems are causing significant electrical waste. They include . 1. Over and under Voltage. 2. Excessive reactive Current. 3. Harmonic distortion. 4. Line loss and overheating. 5. Transient Voltage and Amperage. Power Factor Correction is a method of fine tuning an electrical system. A portion of the total current in the system is not used for doing real work. This portion of current is used to energize the electromagnetic field in a reactive load i.e. an electric motor. It is possible to supply this current to the motor form a local source or a KVAR unit and remove the "excessive" current from the system. By removing the non-productive current form the system the efficency of the system is increased and resulting line loss reduction is measured in KW savings by the electric meter.
When we started to talk to people about power factor correction we were surprised to discover that most people had no knowledge of this subject or of the products available. Some people even thought that we were a little crazy or that we were talking about some kind of science fiction product. When we began to understand the impact these products would have on the environment, we realized that we had an obligation to inform the consumer. This would be our contribution against the problem of pollution and global warming. Our challenge is finding ways to educate and inform people. |
One way we reach out to people and inform them of the energy saving technology is through our Motorsports Program. |
